GOAT commission by seller rating

GOAT's commission is a performance system, not a flat rate — cancellations and late shipments move you into punitive tiers:

Your seller rating is your fee

At 90%+ you pay 9.5%. Slip to the 70–89% band and it jumps to 15%; below 60% it hits 25%. A handful of cancelled orders can therefore cost you more than any sourcing mistake, because the penalty applies to every subsequent sale until the rating recovers.

There is also a base seller fee that varies by location — around $5 in the US, $12 in Canada, $20 internationally — on top of the commission percentage.

GOAT and sneaker arbitrage

GOAT competes directly with StockX for the same inventory, and prices differ between them on any given model. Running the same pair through both in the calculator — with your actual commission tier on each — is the fastest way to pick the better exit.

Only list what you physically have in hand. The cancellation penalty structure makes speculative listing an expensive habit.

GOAT fee questions

How much commission does GOAT charge?

9.5% for sellers rated 90% or above, rising to 15% at 70–89%, 20% at 60–69%, and 25% below 60%. A location-based seller fee also applies — roughly $5 in the US.

How is the GOAT seller rating calculated?

It reflects your order completion — cancellations, late shipments and failed authentications drag it down, which directly raises the commission on your next sales.

GOAT or StockX — which is cheaper?

For a well-rated seller the rates are close, so the deciding factor is usually which platform prices the specific model higher. Run both through the calculator with your real tier.

Who pays shipping on GOAT?

You cover shipping the pair to GOAT for authentication. Enter that label cost as seller shipping so the margin reflects it.
